Massport honored local veterans in a ceremony at Worcester Regional Airport Wednesday.
The event came as the airport celebrates the return of commercial service.
Massport announced their partnership with Veterans Inc. in Worcester for a food drive.
The three airlines at the airport are also donating two round-trip tickets per airline to Veterans Inc.
"The food service is going to holiday harvest,” said Veterans Inc. President and CEO Vincent Perrone. “It’s a farmers market two days before Thanksgiving. We will feed 500 families, 3,000 people in one day,” said Perrone.
Veterans Inc. has served 90,000 veterans and their families since they opened 30 years ago.
