WORCESTER, Mass. - The Friendly House of Worcester received a big donation Wednesday, nearly $4,000 worth of toys, gift cards, and teddy bears.

The donations come from the Worcester Railers Teddy Bear toss and the team's Booster Club Toy Drive.

Fans were encouraged to bring new stuffed animals to last Saturday's Railers game.

The team then donated $2 per every stuffed animal towards toy drive.

Booster Club President Rich Lundin said it's the biggest donation they've received.

"It’s very special, kind of shocking as well,” said Lundin. “We usually get the toys and donations from our Christmas party every year and we had to cancel this year due to COVID. So we asked people to donate and we still got more than we've ever got before,” Lundin said.

This is the fourth year the Railers held the teddy bear toss game.
