One of my favorite things about the Mewhiney Central Mass High School football All-Star Game is that you have kids that were rivals for four years in high school, they hated each other, that become great friends in just two weeks.
It doesn't matter if it's a big or small school, neighboring towns or Thanksgiving Day rivals, the guys find out they are all very similar and form a bond over the two weeks of practice that lasts for years.
The game is Friday June, 17 at Doyle Field in Leominster.
Kevin Shea talked to players on the South and North squads about how quickly they mesh with one another.
