WORCESTER, Mass. - Cleanup efforts are active across Massachusetts following the 'blizzard of 2026'.

In Worcester, at the Department of Public Works facilities, a truck was seen on Tuesday mixing the salt and the sand pile to load up other plows. More than a foot of snow for Worcester means hours of shoveling for some residents. Gabriel Guzman said this snow had some weight to it.

“A lot of ice, there's a huge ice wall," Guzman said on Tuesday. "I had to clear it out today just so I can get out tomorrow for work.”

Many other residents enjoyed a couple days off from school or work with things like sledding.

At the same time, hundreds of Massachusetts National Guard members were deployed to support storm response operations in the southeastern part of the Bay State, which saw two or more feet of snow in areas and hundreds of thousands of power outages.

And for those still working to find ways to clear the snow and get back to business as usual…

“Thoughts on the blizzard of 26,” Spectrum News 1 asked.

“Not fun,” Guzman said.
