MILLBURY, Mass. - Players and front office personnel from the Worcester Railers took time on Tuesday to help unload trucks and stock shelves and refrigeraters at the Central Mass Veterans Support Inc, an organization that helps veterans with food, clothing, care and comradery. "Yeah, obviously it is super important for us to be here," said Railers Captain, Anthony Repaci, "these guys have done so much, they are selfless individuals who have put their bodies on the line in order for us to live the lifestyle that we get to do. So it doesn't take a lot for us to take a few hours out of our day to come here and support them, it's much more than hockey so we are very happy to be here."
"It's super important to help these people out," said Railers Forward, Lincoln Hatten, "like Patch (Anthony Repaci) was saying the most selfless individuals we get to know and meet, and if it wasn't for them, we wouldn't get to live the life that we live here in the states."
"We have been very fortunate to have the Railer family really get involved with what we are trying to accomplish here," said VP of Central Mass Veterans Support Inc's board of directors, Tom Turco, "we are serving over 1100 veterans that are signed up for the program here."
