AUBURN, Mass. - It's going to be a busy week for Arcade Snacks.
“Business probably quadruples for Easter,” sales manager Pam O’Coin said.
Don’t let the name fool you, Arcade Snacks offers nuts, candies, chocolate, and gift baskets.
“Once people find out about our store, they'll come in," T.J. Ethier said, "it's just getting them in the door. Arcade was my dad's middle name. So, a lot of people get confused about the name.”
“I don't really think there's a store like this around here," Rick Haufe said, "not that we know of.”
The family-owned business has been operating for 40 years and says Easter is their second busiest holiday behind Christmas.
“We sell and create everything you need," O’Coin said, "for your Easter basket or your Easter gatherings as a hostess gift.”
Arcade said 99% of their business is wholesale manufacturing and distributing. While tariffs impacted the products they get from all over the world, they said prices have leveled out and they focus on getting to do what they love.
“I think it's the passion that we have," Ethier said. “Started it in our parents’ garage 40 years ago.”
“It's just a fresh, fresh product that we put out in our store for all our customers," Haufe said, "whether it be retail people coming into the store or wholesale.”
“Selling candy and nuts and products that I believe in - in their freshness and their quality," O’Coin said. "I mean, who doesn't want to sell candy and nuts? It makes people happy. Food makes people happy.”
