ATLANTA — Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens says the city is safe and prepared to host the FIFA World Cup.
The mayor discussed World Cup security, saying that the city has been planning and training for years.
“My message is simple: We are ready. We are FIFA-ready. We are not only ready downtown but we are ready throughout the entire city of Atlanta," Dickens said.
Atlanta is working with MARTA to help protect visitors and residents on buses and trains. Starting Thursday, June 11, you can watch the matches at Fan Fest at Centennial Olympic Park.
