On this episode of In Focus Maine, Bri Driscoll speaks with three regional chamber leaders about supporting Maine businesses, strengthening the workforce and creating opportunities for future economic growth. 

Guests include Deb Neuman of the Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce, Katie Doherty of the Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce and Quincy Hentzel of the Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce. 

Neuman discusses how the organization works to strengthen the regional economy. She explains how the chamber supports local businesses, promotes the Bangor region, and helps attract visitors and new residents.    

Doherty discusses an initiative connecting more than 300 students from three schools with approximately 23 local businesses. She also talks about the economic growth of Augusta, where the Ironman event brought millions to the city.  

Hentzel discusses the chamber’s efforts to support local businesses and promote continued economic growth throughout greater Portland. She also shares how collaboration, workforce development, and regional partnerships can help build a stronger business community.
