SUTTON, Mass. - The site of the abandoned Sutton motor inn drive-in theater is set to get new life.
Site work on the land has already begun.
The town said it's slated to become a trucking repair facility for Northeast Great Dane, a semi-trailer dealership.
Eastland Partners owns the site.
The town said they have a special permit and are prepping the land.
The project is still in the permitting process.
The drive-in closed in 1996.
A brush fire in 2022 spread to the movie screen lighting the structure on fire.
The remnants of the screen and the old concession and projector area will need to be demolished.
