GRAFTON, Mass. - Final preparations are underway in Grafton as the town is now just days away from its 5th annual Fourth of July parade.

The event quickly became a town tradition and a way to celebrate the country's birthday. Organizers say 2,500 people attended last year's parade, and with this year marking the 250th anniversary of America’s independence, they’re planning an extra-special small-town celebration.

“We do everything we can to bring in as many locals as possible, to help give that residential energy. It’s a great time, everybody knows everybody. We have fun,” parade organizer Justin Stone said. “I’m constantly getting people asking me if they can be in the parade. So, it’s really grown. It really pulls the community together and I think it gives us a bigger celebration for the 250th."
