An Alfred man was charged with murder after police found his wife’s body in their home on Waterboro Road Monday afternoon, according to the Maine State Police.
About 3 p.m., the York County Sheriff’s Office received a call for a disturbance and when they got there, they found Kristan Crow, 39, deceased inside the home.
Police found her husband, James Crow, 40, in the parking lot of Harry’s gas station in Lyman, where he was taken into custody without incident, police said.
The medical examiner ruled the death a homicide and following an investigation, police charged James Crow with murder.
Police did not disclose any details about the death or circumstances leading up to it.
James Crow is scheduled to make his initial court appearance in York County Superior Court on Wednesday.
