The president of Northern Light Acadia Hospital will step down in May, an announcement that comes just days after the hospital system said it is partnering with a Minnesota-based health care management company.
Scott Oxley was with Northern Light Health for 30 years and became hospital president in 2017.
“Scott’s legacy will be his work to improve access to behavioral health services for Maine’s most vulnerable population and making sure our amazing staff felt supported and cared for,” Timothy Dentry, president and CEO of Northern Light Health, said in a statement.
Oxley is taking a job as president of the Galen Cole Family Foundation.
Last week, Northern Light Health announced that Optum will be the new employer of about 1,400 Northern Light employees.
