BOOTHBAY HARBOR — What’s being billed as the largest drone show ever in Maine is on tap for Friday night over the harbor.

The event is a continuation of the America 250th celebrations, according to Northeast Media Associates.

The show, which will feature hundreds of synchronized drones flying in patriotic formations, was originally scheduled for Saturday, but with rain in the forecast, organizers moved it to Friday, spokeswoman Angie Helton confirmed.

The show is set to last about 15 minutes and will be visible throughout the Boothbay Harbor area, including the downtown footbridge.

The celebration will also feature live music and two special ships — the Tall Ship Lynx and schooner Bowdoin.

The show is set to begin at 9 p.m.
