State police are investigating a shooting at 103 Temple St. in Saco on Tuesday, the same address where the suspect in the killing of Ahmed Sharif was arrested the day before.
Saco police responded to a call about shots being fired at the address at around 7:44 a.m., according to a news release from Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss.
Responding officers found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound, Moss stated. The woman was transported to a hospital where she was in critical but stable condition.
A portion of Temple Street was closed while state police investigated.
“There is no danger to the public and the investigation is ongoing,” Moss stated.
The day before, Lorenze A. Labonte, 25, was arrested at the same address in connection with the killing of Ahmed Sharif, 27, of Lewiston, who was found shot to death in a Biddeford apartment on Nov. 24.
It was unclear Wednesday morning whether the two incidents at 103 Temple St. were connected.
