No one was injured when a single engine, propeller-driven aircraft flipped over Tuesday afternoon at Portland International Jetport on Tuesday.

Airport Rescue and Firefighting teams and Airport Operations responded to a report that the unoccupied aircraft parked on the north apron had flipped over due to the wind at about 3:10 p.m., Jetport officials said.

“There were no injuries and a small fuel leak was contained with no impact to storm drains,” the Jetport stated in a news release issued at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday. “The aircraft owner is coordinating to have the aircraft recovered.”

The National Weather Service reported that wind speeds at the Jetport that afternoon ranged from 13-20 mph, with gusts of between 21-33 mph.
