A pickup truck forced a car to crash Friday in Limington, according to the Maine Department of Public Safety. Now, officials want the public’s help in finding the culprit.

A Subaru sedan was traveling on Cape Road at around 5:30 a.m., when it was cut off by an older, light-colored pickup truck that pulled out from Doles Ridge Road, according to department spokesperson Shannon Moss.

“When the driver of the Subaru attempted to pass the pickup, the pickup intentionally pushed into the Subaru, forcing it off the roadway,” Moss stated. “The Subaru struck a tree and caught fire. The driver of the pickup continued on without stopping.”

The Subaru’s driver was hospitalized with serious injuries not believed to be life-threatening, according to Moss.
